"Long ago in the autumn, in sixteen twenty-one,

A tale of Thanksgiving had just begun."

"They traveled across oceans, so brave and so bold,

Seeking a new life, with stories to be told."

"They met with the Native tribes, so wise and so kind,

Who showed them the way, new friendships they’d find."

"The Pilgrims took heed, and they worked day and night,

With gratitude growing, their spirits took flight."

"When autumn arrived, they gathered their yields,

With plenty of food from their hard-working fields."

"With turkey and corn, and berries so sweet,

They sat down together to share a grand treat."

"The first Thanksgiving was filled with delight,

A moment of peace on that magical night."

"They gave thanks for the harvest, the friendship they found,

For the love and the unity that soon would abound."

"With family and friends, we remember the past,

The spirit of Thanksgiving, forever to last."
