"In the year of sixteen twenty, on a distant shore,

A band of brave Pilgrims came seeking something more."

"Food was so scarce, and hope started to fade,

But they kept their faith strong, their spirits displayed."

"They met the wise natives, the Wampanoag clan,

Who taught them to plant, to grow food from the land."

“Here’s how to plant corn, and beans up the pole,

With squash in the garden, you’ll feed every soul.”

"When autumn came round, they gathered their crops,

With pumpkins and turkeys, and corn from the tops."

"With laughter and stories, they gathered in cheer,

The first Thanksgiving, a memory so dear."

"They thanked the Great Spirit for all that they had,

For the love and the laughter, the good times they’d clad."

"Now every November, when the leaves start to fall,

We remember that feast, the friendship of all."

"For Thanksgiving is more than just food on a plate,

It’s the love that we share and the bonds that we create."
