Long ago in a village, chilly and small,
Lived a boy named David, so curious and tall.
"David’s family gathered, their menorah prepared,
But when they looked closer, their faces despaired."
"So David set out on a mission alone,
Through forests and valleys, as cold winds had blown."
“I’ve heard of your journey, so take this with care—
One jar of oil, for light you’ll share.”
"And though the oil was meant for a day, maybe two,
The flames kept on burning—eight nights, warm and true."
"The village rejoiced, their menorah alight,
A miracle shining so pure and so bright."
